A Shocking Discovery

and a Breaking Ground Ceremony

Dear readers, brace yourselves for another riveting chapter in the saga of intrigue that is unfolding within our office.

This week, Alice stumbled upon a startling finding that sent shockwaves through Erect & Tile. As she was bent over Steve's desk in search of a stapler, she uncovered a penguin cufflink – an exact match to the one discovered in the ill-fated cupcake that left Steve battling for his life. Steve vehemently denies ownership, insisting he's been framed.

Josh and I wasted no time adding this new found evidence to our growing collection on the crime board, while the police revisit our office, their scrutiny focused on Steve. Tensions have understandably arisen between Alice and Steve, with Alice convinced that he is concealing the truth, leading to a rift in their once-flourishing friendship. It's disheartening, especially considering Steve is very selective about who he lends his stapler to.

When Douglas was out on one of his hourly office perimeter scans, he thinks he saw a suspicious character with binoculars observing the office from across the road. It's a worrisome development that warrants attention and vigilance from everyone in the office.

Gretal kindly brought us all a tray of delicious sandwiches and tuna melts from her cafe, this demonstrates the support and kindness within the community surrounding our humble office at this difficult time.

After feeling frustrated at home, Polly has made the decision to return to the office next week. Though recent unsettling events have left her on edge, the police have assured her there's no immediate threat. Additionally, I've provided Polly with the contact details of my trusted nail technician to ensure her nails are done properly this time, eliminating any risk of them falling off and landing on top of a chocolate cupcake,

Amidst the turmoil, a glimmer of light pierces through the darkness as we gathered to celebrate the commencement of a new project this week with a Breaking Ground Ceremony. However, this is no ordinary affair, for our clients are Witches, and the ground was blessed in a special Wiccan tradition believed to bring good fortune. Douglas, who is leading this project, stands to benefit greatly from such blessings, as the project is already three weeks behind schedule.

See you next week, Rebecca x
